

Eileen was born on September 15, 1923 in Farlington, Kansas. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1948 with her husband Leroy Grant. She worked as an accountant and retired from Rice University. She loved her family and was very active with the Boys Scouts as den leader and with the Girls Scouts as a troop leader. Eileen was a Homeroom mother every year for her kid's school and she was very involved with her children's sports and dance activities. Eileen was an excellent seamstress and made all of her daughter's recital costumes and formal gowns. She was a longtime member of Memorial Woman's Club. She loved to play bridge and was an excellent poker player.
Eileen is preceded in rest by her husband of 37 years, Leroy Grant. Eileen had two older brothers, Monroe Holtman and Harmon Holtman, and an older sister, Opal Waggoner, who passed years earlier, marking the end of that generation of Holtman's.
Eileen is survived by her daughter, Constance Grant; her son's, Leroy Grant (wife, Carey & their daughter, Ashley & husband Alex Ramirez), George Grant (wife, Ann and their two sons, Clayton Grant & wife Robin & great granddaughter Helena), and Drew Grant (wife, Corena). She also has many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and she was so happy to see them last year at her 100th birthday family celebration. Eileen loved her family and was so Happy to have spent so many years with them.
