Elizabeth T. McClure

McCLURE, Elizabeth Theresa, "Liz" (Nemeth), age 69, of Houston passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was a graduate of Mexico High School in Mexico, Missouri in 1966. Liz was an active member of Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church and volunteered with the Bereavement team, the Classics, ACTS, and Usher Ministries. Liz was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister,aunt and wonderful friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling with her friends and visiting many places like Rome and Jerusalem as well as enjoying multiple cruises in recent years. Liz was an avid reader, played Bunco monthly, enjoyed playing and watching tennis and loved spending time with her grandsons. Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Danny McClure, and her parents Geza and Elizabeth Nemeth. She is survived by her daughter Amanda McClure Garrett and her husband Howard; two grandsons, who she adored, Corbin and Caiden Garrett; brother and sister-in-law Frank and Donna Nemeth; sister and brother-in-law Helen and John Huston; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Rd., Houston, TX 77065 with Father Sean officiating. Burial in Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095 with the Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude for the outpouring of love, support and prayers during this time of loss.
