Elizabeth F. Mixon

ELIZABETH F. MIXON, "BETTY", age 86, passed away on February 7, 2010. She was born on July 25, 1923 in Greenville, IL. Betty moved to Houston in the early 1940's and went to work for Alexander-Mock Food Brokerage Co., which later became Alexander-Spaulding Co., then Alexander-Walling Co., Walling-Bell Food Brokerage Co., and finally, Marketing Specialist Sales Co. Although the names changed, Betty did not; she worked at the same company for 58 yrs before retiring.Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 33 yrs, John Mixon Sr. and siblings Nadine, Elva, and Hubert. She is survived by her son, John II, his wife Sharon of Stafford, grandson, John III, of Simonton, granddaughter, Tina Mixon-Clevenger and her husband, Ken of Cypress, great grandchildren, John IV and Ashley Mixon, sister-in-law, Helen Cantrill of Greenville, IL., nieces, Sandy Enlow and Cindy Shy of Illinois and several great nieces and nephews that brought joy to her life.Funeral services for Elizabeth Mixon will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2010, in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Tx 77079. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The family will be accepting visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010.
