Ellen Jane Smith

She met Gerald Allen Smith in Houston, Texas and married in June of 1975. Jane was a homemaker and had a passion for sewing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Allen Smith; parents, Myrtie Coudrain and George Levi Johnson; brothers, Arthur Johnson, Louis Johnson, George Lee Johnson, James Johnson, Eugene Johnson; stepson, Gerald Allen Smith Jr.; step daughter, Rebecca Holloway; grandson, Joshua Brade Holloway; brother-in-law, Richard James Smith.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Coudrain; son, Robert Lee Spoerle; step daughters, Charlotte Winborn (James), Rachael Maresh (Aaron); grandchildren, Jennifer Coudrain, Stephanie Smith, Jessie Sherlock, Elanie Flores, David Sherlock, Jeremy Osceola, Andrew Osceola, Sarah White, Wendy Holloway, Benjamin Holloway, and Daniel Holloway; sister-in-law, Sarah Grace Johnson; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Jane will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
