Our beloved, Elmira Furnish went to be with God at the age of 75, on November 19, 2022 in League City, Texas with her loving family by her side. Myra graduated from Milby High School and completed various medical courses in nursing. She was married to her love, Gary Furnish until his death. Myra was a Collection Specialist and retired from MD Anderson. She was an avid bowler, loved dancing, singing and going to the movies. She loved God and her family. She actually made up a song for her first great grandson and named it Kayden James is his name…and proudly sung it to him every time she saw him.
Myra will be remembered by her generosity and bubbly personality. She would go out of her way to make others smile. Her sidekick Cici, her Chihuahua of 14 years kept her going.
Myra was a great daughter, a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, loving sister, caring grandmother and wonderful great grandmother and terrific aunt.
She is predeceased by her husband, Gary Furnish, her father, Thomas Gonzales, mother, Carmela Cervelli, her brothers Eddie Gonzales, and Robert Gonzales and her sister, Joy Stagg and sister in law, Angie Gonzales.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa and husband Steven, son, Ricky and wife Candi, daughter Amanda. Granddaughter Meagan and husband Jonathan, Granddaughter Marina and husband Colby, Granddaughter Arianna and husband Colin, grandsons -Myles, Bailey, Noah, Trevor and Joshua. Great grandsons -Kayden and Kamden and great granddaughters Mila and Mailey. Siblings-Bobby, Linda, Tommy, Larry and wife Tammy, Lucy and husband Brock, and Lora. Brother in law-Frank. Special Friends Zelma, Sondra and Sandra and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Elmira on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo
4136 Broadway St, Houston, Tx 77087. Entrance will begin at 9:15 am with ceremony beginning promptly at 10am.
