

Elpidio Silvestre Jimenez was born in Santa Clara,Las Villas, Cuba on December 31, 1928 and started his eternal journey to heaven on July 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his beloved, beautiful wife, Elsa Martinez Jimenez, and his loving mother, Aurelia Jimenez. He is survived by his daughter, Elena Soler, grandsons, Glenn-Eric, Alexander and Scott Soler, son, Emilio Jimenez, wife Brenda, and granddaughter Katya and numerous family members that he so loved. He was a huge baseball fan. The Astros were his favorite team. He enjoyed watching and attending games with Aldo Rodríguez and Phil Perrin. They dedicated years of baseball games with him. The family would like to thank Elia Montalvo for taking such wonderful and loving care of him. The family will forever be grateful for his two best friends, Carlos Vidal and Rafael Moreno. They visited him a few times a week. They would sit for hours talking about politics and solve the world’s problems drinking Cuban coffee. A very special thank you to Rebecca Thonpsom for being like a daughter to him and always there helping with anything that needed to be done. Lastly, the family is beyond touched with all the support we have received from the Ghalayini, White and Rodriguez families over the years. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. He said he wanted to be with his wife that he missed so much. Visitation will be Monday 19, 2021 at 1:00, service at 2:00 followed by the burial and reception 3:30-5:30 at Forest Park Funeral Home, Westheimer. Pallbearers, Glenn-Eric Soler, Alexander Soler, Scott Soler, Emilio Jiménez, Aldo Rodríguez, Tarek Ghalayini, Omar Ghalayini, Dave Thonpsom, and Phil Perrin.
