Elsa Mendez Reyna

April 6, 1952 – January 25, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsa Reyna on January 25, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on April 6, 1952, Elsa was the cherished matriarch of the Reyna family, a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Elsa spent her early years raising her children, Linda, Carlos, and David, and working as a talented hairdresser. She had a natural flair for creativity and connection, excelling in her career and embarking on entrepreneurial ventures to support her family. Throughout her life, Elsa was known for her kind, gentle nature and unwavering faith, finding peace and joy in church and singing.

Elsa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Armando Reyna, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and devotion. Together, they built a legacy of family, faith, and joy. Elsa is now reunited with Armando in eternal peace in the presence of the Lord.

She leaves behind her three children, her grandchildren—Crystal, Michael, Aziza, Mustapha, Charli, Cayden, and Ozzy—who brought her immense joy and pride in her later years. Elsa also leaves behind many other treasured family members and friends, all of whom were touched by her warmth and love.

Known for her beauty, quick wit, and grace, Elsa loved sharing meals of her favorite foods—entomatadas, Coca-Cola, and anything sweet—especially enjoying lunch dates at Luby’s.

Elsa’s legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. While her presence will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace.

A celebration of Elsa’s life will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., with Rosary at 6pm at Funeraria del Angel Crespo Navigation - 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003.

Con gran tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Elsa Reyna el 25 de enero de 2025, a la edad de 72 años. Nacida el 6 de abril de 1952, Elsa fue la querida matriarca de la familia Reyna, una madre amorosa, abuela y amiga de muchos.

Elsa pasó sus primeros años criando a sus hijos, Linda, Carlos y David, y trabajando como talentosa estilista. Tenía una habilidad natural para la creatividad y la conexión, destacándose en su carrera y emprendiendo varios proyectos para apoyar a su familia. A lo largo de su vida, Elsa fue conocida por su manera amable, gentil y su fe inquebrantable, encontrando paz y alegría en la iglesia y el canto.

Elsa fue precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo, Armando Reyna, con quien compartió una vida de amor y devoción. Juntos construyeron un legado de familia, fe y alegría. Elsa ahora está reunida con Armando en paz eterna, en la presencia del Señor.

Deja atrás a sus tres hijos, sus nietos—Crystal, Michael, Aziza, Mustapha, Charli, Cayden y Ozzy—quienes le trajeron una inmensa alegría y orgullo en sus últimos años. También deja a muchos otros familiares y amigos queridos, todos los cuales fueron tocados por su calidez y amor.
