I met Bruce at the University of Oklahoma and throughout the years I would see him during my visits to Houston. Enjoyed the relationship and will see him again, when I cross the River Jordan.

Rejoice!!!  What a blessing to have had Bruce to be a part of our lives.  I cherish the friendship, brotherhood and experiences Bruce and I shared beginning early childhood, through high school and throughout college. Eternally.

Wow, this was a shock.  Bruce and I met through a mutual friend years ago.  We didn't see one another often, but when we did, we greeted one another warmly.  God Bless you Bruce

Wow, I am stunned. To the family, I am truly sorry and saddened by the passing of Bruce, he was a good friend.  Although we didn't talk often, we would always check up on each other periodically. I have been out of the office for the past two weeks and just received notice of your loss.  Bruce was a good friend and a hard worker.  I enjoyed the many years that we worked together.  He will be missed by his Farmers family.  I am deeply saddened by his passing but I know he is in a better place.  I hope the family will find some comfort in knowing that he was respected and loved by the many people that he touched in his professional life.

To the Blakey Family you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Bruce will be deeply missed.

I know one of Bruce's favorite words was "boss". I can still see him, slowly approaching his supervisor's desk, saying "hey boss". Well Bruce, I know you are now with the only Boss that matters and I'm sure you are enjoying the fruits of the harvest.

My deepest condolences to the family. May God grant you strength and peace during this time. I hope you find comfort in the many fond memories of Bruce and know that he has touched many lives over the years.

Bruce always had a friendly hello with initials (hey MC!) and smile for everyone he greeted. We have lost a dear friend and he will be missed.  May you find comfort in wonderful memories of him.

Bruce was always charming and forever had a smile on his face. He was one of the first people that welcomed me 11 years ago when I transferred to the Farmers office in Jersey Village. He was always upbeat and a joy to be around. He was loved by many and will truly be missed by his Farmers Family. 

To Bruce's family, May all your great memories bring you comfort. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bruce, you will be forever missed and in our hearts. Several people have mentioned you had been on their minds the last few days but I was wanting it to be that we would see your handsome face soon. I don't know where to begin to describe Bruce... co-worker, friend, mentor, but he was also a kind, gentle, compassionate, funny guy that I will miss terribly.  It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but when the Lord calls our loved ones home he leaves a gift of memories in exchange.  To Bruce's family – you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

You will be missed.  I remember the early and later years of your life and how were shared hugs and love. You will always be in my heart. We all will see you someday.

I had the pleasure of working with Bruce at the old BCO 74 from 1985 to 1988 and he was always polite and respectful. He was in the prime of his life looking for Mrs Right to settle down with.  I'm glad he finally found her and was blessed with a daughter. I know in my heart that his life was fulfilled with his family.  All my prayers go out to his family at this time.

Bruce was one of the first individuals I met when I came to Texas 10 years ago and made me feel so comfortable.  Bruce was a pleasure to work with and be around.  Bruce I will miss you, but you are with our father and the angels.  My heart and prayers go out to the family.

We had our many moments -- and I know you were not exactly sure in the beginning where I was trying to lead you.  But, you made me a better supervisor because you challenged me.  I remember our final conversation several months ago.  We knew that this was our final goodbye and I knew then you were going to be just fine. I will leave you with  - Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. You were not afraid.  I know you are now safe with your Father!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.  Mr. Blakey was a great friend and co-worker for many years.  When I would call him Mr. Blakey he would always say call me Bruce, Mr. Blakey is my father. I would tell him it was a matter of respect not age.  Take solace in your memories of him.

My thoughts are with Bruce's family. Bruce was a wonderful and generous man. I know he will be missed by everyone who worked with him at Farmers, not just because he was a colleague, but because he was a friend to so many of us. Everyone will miss Bruce so very much.

I didn't know that the last time I saw Bruce in the office would be a forever goodbye. In my short time I have worked with him I can say he was a really nice and funny guy. I wish I had more conversations with him. May he rest in peace amongst God's angels.

Bruce was one of the most kind hearted and caring people that I have ever met.  I was blessed to have him be a part of my life.  He will be deeply missed.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
