She was married to Hector Hernandez Sr on April 25, 1968.

Elvira R Hernandez had a career in Sales Associate for Foley's then Macy's. She had a passion for sewing, crocheting and loved Christmas.

She is preceded in death by Andrew Anthony Hernandez (Grandson), Carmen L Rivera (Mother), Margaret Rivera (Sister) and Gabriel Rivera (Father).

She is survived by her spouse; Hector Hernandez Sr, her children; Hector Hernandez Jr, Anthony Hernandez, 7 grandchildren; Andrew A Hernandez, Alisa G Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, Morgan Hernandez, Mia Hernandez, Regia A Hernandez, Tobias Hernandez and 1 Great Grandchild; Ariella R Caballero; 2 Brother and Sister; Gabriel Rivera and Margaret Rivera.

A public visitation will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1505 Kane St., Houston, TX 77007. A woodlawn cemetery will occur Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055.
