Emanuel Rivas

Emanuel Rivas, 27, passed away on February 26, 2017 in San Marcos, Texas, where he was currently residing. He was born on July 17, 1989 in Houston, Texas. Emanuel moved to San Marcos about a year ago for peace and quiet. He enjoyed the evenings when the sun would set and the sky became dark and all you could see were the stars. These evenings were spent with his girlfriend Laura who he recently moved in with. Emanuel had always been an outgoing and joyful person but family saw even more happiness when Laura came into his life. There had even been talk between them of marriage. Although most of his time was spent with Laura, he did enjoy spending time with his family. Before he moved to San Marcos, Texas he would like to get together with "his boys" and play basketball. Emanuel will be deeply missed.

He leaves behind his parents, Jose A. and Ana Rivas; his 2 sons, Emanuel Geo Rivas and Jesse Leo Rivas; brothers, Anthony Rivas and Robert Rivas; sisters, Stephanie Rivas and Gemali Rivas; nieces, Leslivette Rivas, Sophie Rivas and Delilah Rivas; nephew, Mason Anthony Rivas; his grandparents; and numerous cousins, uncles and aunts.

Family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:30pm in the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery.
