Emil Kutra Jr.

Emil was born in Frydek, Texas, on September 15, 1922. Emil graduated from Sealy High School in 1941. He was inducted into the Army in April, 1943, and served as a radar/IFF operator in the southwest Pacific campaign. He settled in Houston after the war and attended business school where he studied bookkeeping. He worked for various companies including One's A Meal before starting his own bookkeeping company. He continued to work into his nineties and was still happy to give business advice till the end. Emil was a member of the KJT Society #29 of Frydek and a member of SPJST Lodge #142 in Houston.

Emil was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Filomena Kutra, brothers Frank, Willie (Adele), Alois (Gabriella) and August (Vlasta). He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great grandnieces and great grandnephews.

We would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Senior Living for their support of Emil over the last six years and a special thanks to Shawna, for all the care she gave. We would also like to thank the Fort Bend Hospice staff for their care in his final days.
