Equilla Denise Sanders

Equilla Denise Guillory-Sanders went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2018. She was born on March 15, 1966 in Lake Charles Louisiana to parents, Elvine and Shirley Victor Holmes Sr. she moved to Houston more than 30 years ago. She worked at St. Anthony's Hospital for more than 20 years until it's closing.

Equilla was preceded in death by her parents, Elvine (Levine) Holmes, Shirley Victor Holmes Sr.; two sisters, Geraldine Babino, Emmer Lee Catlon; two brothers, Marshall Babino, Willie P. Babino; nephew, Chase Hawkins, and godmother, Patricia LeBlanc.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Sanford “Dwayne” Sanders; three daughters, Conique Guillory Eaden and husband Robert Jr., Conmeather Guillory, Joycelyn Charles; three sons, Tyler Sanders, Trey Sanders, Jared Sanders; eleven grandchildren, D’Sean Johnson Jr., Bri’onne Eaden, Hermione Eaden, Robert Eaden III, Calvin Tann, Adrian White Jr., Chikae Guillory, Alvontae Ceasar, Warren Davidson(baby), Lizzari Charles, Morcel Charles; seven sisters, Dorothy Babino-Dixon and husband Joseph Jr. of Houston,Texas, Linda Roberts and husband Lionel of Houston,Texas, Millie Babino-Milton and husband Terence of Dallas, Texas, Catherine Holmes of Houston, Texas, Karhonda Ceasar of Houston, Texas, Yolanda Rena Dixon-Brooks and husband Ryan of Houston, Texas, Meocha Mayo-Lymon and husband Ottric of Florida; brothers, Joseph Morrow and wife Diane of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Bobby Lee Holmes of Lake Charles, Louisana, Shirley Victor Holmes Jr. and wife Annie Holmes of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Raymond Vital and wife Sandra, Patrick Hale of Erie, Pennsylvania; two godsons, Rashawn Ross and wife LaToia, Richard Guillory; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, sister-cousins, brother-cousins, friends and other family members.

The family will receive friends for a memorial service Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
