

He is survived by his daughter Belinda and her husband Louis Cerreto; his daughter Mary Brown; his daughter Shannon Arnold and his son Ernest Brown. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandra Fritsch, James Cerreto, Mason Arnold and Hayden Arnold.
Ernie was born in Houston, TX but spent his childhood living in Washington D.C. He attended Mars Hill College in Asheville, North Carolina. Upon graduation he joined the Marine Corp where he proudly served his country. Afterwards, he moved back to Houston and attended the University of Houston, where he met his wife, Mary Ann. Together they raised 4 children until she was called home in 1991.
Ernie was an avid fan of all Houston sports, enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and was an accomplished painter and writer. He loved his friends and family dearly, and he truly cared about everyone he met. He missed Mary Ann greatly for those many years, and while those closest to him grieve his loss they rejoice in their reunion.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home Chapel,12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077 followed with a graveside service and reception to follow.
