Ernest was a reliable and loving person, making being an excellent father and husband a priority. He had many hobbies and interests throughout his years, including golf, bowling, gardening, and of course hunting and fishing. He was a highly respected Illinois Referee for high school sports.
Ernest is survived by his dear wife Carol, his sons Timothy and Thomas Venne, his daughters Katie Achin and Sarah Bell, his sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
A graveside service for Ernest will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038. There will be military honors rendered for his time serving our country in the Korean War.
