

She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. A. Valdez, her father Juan Lopez Pena; mother Felicitas Acevedo Pena and her siblings. She is survived Jeanie (Mark), Paul Adam Valdez (Gloria). Numerous nephews, nieces and 4 generations of grandchildren.
She was originally from Rio Grande City, Texas. When she was 17 years of age she married her husband Rev. A. Valdez.
She was a teacher at Pasadena HISD and Houston ISD for 45 years. She was a strong leader of the church as a pianist, Sunday School Teacher, treasurer, deaconess, choir director and Christmas Pageant Director. Her playing and voice is a a blessed memory for those who knew her. She attended Hardin Simmons University along with her husband Rev. A. Valdez where she received her Associates degree, her Bachelors degree and went to Texas ANI where she received her Master's degree. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sorely missed.

A visitation will occur Friday, November 4, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003. A chapel service will occur Friday, November 4, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd, Houston, Texas 77003. A committal service will occur Friday, November 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.
