Eva graduated from Sam Houston High School and received a Business Degree from Texas Business School. She was married to the love of her life James Henderson on October 26, 1968. Eva worked as an Accountant for the United States Marshal Service.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dessie Carter.
She is survived by her sons, Joel Henderson and wife Marty, Rick Henderson and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Nathan, Elyssa, and Austin Henderson; brother, James “Jim” Carter.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Austin Henderson; Nathan Henderson; Mace Bostick; Grady Carter; Barry Carter; and John Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will be: Elyssa Henderson; and Michael LaBounty.
A visitation for family and friends is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 10:30am in the Grand Chapel at Brookside followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
