Evelyn Gutierrez

Our beloved Evelyn, who was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother and friend departed this life on May 10, 2025, at the age of 49.

Born in Houston, Texas, Evelyn was the cherished daughter of Rose Mary Miranda and Alberto Gutierrez and stepdaughter to Martha Gutierrez.

She grew up with her four loving sisters Elizabeth Gutierrez Chavez, Eva Gutierrez Rodriguez, Esther Gutierrez, and Elva Ann Gutierrez-Juarez and formed lifelong bonds with them.

Evelyn dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife to Eric Amador and mother to her children Eric Jon Amador Jr. and Ethan Allen Amador. Her children were her pride and joy. She raised them with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love, always putting their needs above her own.

She leaves behind her parents Rose Mary, Alberto, and Martha, her husband Eric, her children Eric Jr. and Ethan, her sisters Elizabeth, Eva, Esther, and Elva and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly and always and forever carry her love with them.

Though she is no longer with us in person, her love, strength and legacy will live in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Evelyn will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087 with the prayer service to start 7:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087 with the committal service to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
