Fahimeh Ansari, lovingly called "Fay" by many friends, passed away, peacefully, on April 29, 2016 at the age of 69. She was surrounded by her devoted sons, daughter-in-law, and husband.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on May 4, 2016 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Fay was born in Tehran, Iran to the late Ali-Akbar Motekalemi and Farideh Moshir on April 9, 1947. She studied social studies at National University in Tehran. In the early 1970's, Fay traveled to the United States and studied English at National American University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After spending two years in America, Fay returned to Tehran. She married her husband, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, in 1976. During the Iranian Revolution, in 1981, Fay immigrated to the United States with her family.
Fay was a beautiful, loving, spirited, and intelligent woman. She was a devoted and beloved daughter, sister, friend, wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining guests in her home. Fay had a big smile that would light up a room. She was a friend to all who met her. For years, along with her eldest son, she owned and operated a deli, in the tunnels of downtown Houston, called Daily Express. She enjoyed interacting with people who came to the deli, developing a loyal following of customers who would come in frequently to buy their meals.
Fay adored her family and was so proud of them. Her two sons were the most important part of her life. She was the only daughter of four children, with three loving brothers. She enjoyed visits and frequent phone calls with cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was particularly close to her older brother, Fereydoon, who called her often and helped to care for her. He added much joy to her life. In the final four years of her life, Fay was overjoyed at the birth of her two grandchildren, who were the light of her life. They always put a smile on her face.
Fay is survived by her husband, Hossein; two sons, Amir (Lisa) and Davar; grandson, Jordan; granddaughter, Allison; brothers, Hooshang, Fereydoon, and Farrokh-Shad Motekalemi; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
