mid 40’s his father took a job in Karachi (now Pakistan), where Fali met and fell head over heels
for the love of his life Zarine. Fali and Zarine married and had two children, Adil and Anita.
In Karachi, Fali was a partner at Universal Enterprises, a Hi-Fi store that carried Akai reel to
reels, high end speakers, and Yamaha Musical Instruments. It was not unusual for Fali’s friends
to stop by his shop to visit over a cup of tea. His hobbies included playing billiards, bridge,
boating, scuba diving, and spending time with family and friends at the Beach. Life was great!
In 1975, the family emigrated to the United States and settled in the Bay area outside of San
Francisco and soon after Fali was transferred to Houston, Texas where he became a franchisee
of Radio Shack for many years and later opened a Computer business called UCT (Universal
Computer Technology) with his son Adil. Fali bought a fishing boat and picked up his prior
passion for fishing. He loved being on the water and had no problem waking up at 3 or 4 AM on
a Sunday morning to get an early start.
In addition to his passion for boating and fishing, Fali was a real family man and was generous
to a fault! His family always came first, and he adored his children, six grandchildren-Nicholas,
Lauren, Joshua, Alex, Joel, and Michelle, and great grandchildren, Delilah, and Lincoln. He and
his Zarine cared for his mother Dina who later came to the United States to live with them.
In 2008 Fali suffered an illness that hospitalized him for several months. Doctors had a difficult
time diagnosing his illness and his family almost lost him at that time. After that he was never
quite the same, but was still able to enjoy time with family, friends, and the community. In
2019, the love of Fali’s life Zarine passed away after a bad fall and hip surgery and Fali was
completely heartbroken. He survived Zarine for another two and a half years until he joined her
and the loved ones that passed before him on Saturday, November 27th, 2021. Fali passed
away peacefully at Adil’s home. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends!
