

Faye was born on August 18, 1929, in Blue Ridge, Texas, and died peacefully on February 8, 2014. She was one of six children born to Arrilla and Hershel Powers, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother Tom Powers, and two sons David, and Dan Brack.
Faye is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert C. “Bud” Hagner, Sr, and her children Steve Brack (Kelly) of Kingwood; Dr. Penny Hagner Koepsel (Jim Vogler) of Cypress; Sally Hagner Lane of Albuquerque; and Robert C. “Buddy” Hagner, Jr. (Trish Baldwin Hagner) of Houston, as well as her siblings, Richard, Doris, Shella, and Robert, and numerous other family members and friends.
Faye was a loving grandmother to Daniel Koepsel, Jr. (Tamara), Chris Brack (Sarah), Hilary Hagner, Sarah Brack, Hunter Brack, Presley Brack, and Karisa Connell. She was a caring great-grandmother to Amber Brack, Bryce and Brayden Coffie.
Faye attended Marlin High School where she was a cheerleader, and later attended business college in Dallas. Houston was home for the family after many service-related moves around the country with her first husband who was in the Navy.
In 1968, Bud and Faye were married. They spent 45 years working together to start several companies, traveling the world extensively, raising their 6 children, and spending time with friends and family.
Faye was active in several organizations including Cancer Fighters of Houston, Memorial Women’s Club, Pine Forest Country Club, and a number of bridge groups. She was well known for her exceptional home-cooking, and warm hospitality. She never met a stranger, and certainly never let a guest leave hungry.
Visitation will be held on Friday night, February 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Colonel Newton V. Cole will officiate a celebration of Faye's life in the chapel on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held onsite immediately following the services, and then followed by gravesite services. Pallbearers are: Daniel Koepsel, Jr., Chris Brack, Hunter Brack, Todd Sattler, Jr., Michael Moore, and Cody Hall. Honorary pallbearers are: James K. B "Jim" Nelson, Ed Boch, Bill Shaw, Aaron Wen, Larry Frasier, and Jim Alexander.
