Fernando is survived by son Anthony Rodriguez (Anna); and daughter Valerie Pena (Manuel); sister Dolores Cadriel, sister Beatrice Gerard, sister Gloria Rodriguez, sister Maria Rodriguez, brother Alvino Rodriguez Jr. and sister Elizabeth Rodriguez.
Fernando was preceded in death by son Fernando Rodriguez Jr; father Alvino Guzman Rodriguez and mother Tomasa Bustillos; Sister Pauline Palacios.
Fernando Rodriguez Sr. was a man who loved driving trucks, loved music, loved his family, his children and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren but most of all he was our Dad. Some may see our Dad as "hard" and "tough" and that he was, yet he had one of the biggest hearts. He would offer everyone a COLD drink as soon as you walked into his home and he was always ready to go and grab a bite to eat, he loved food and it had better been HOT and FRESH. If you needed help, he would help you if he could and he was a very giving person.
Our Dad loved to travel, always driving. He once drove all the way to Illinois to witness his grandson graduate from the Naval Recruit Training Command. He was always ready to go on road trips and thankfully he was able to many times in the past few years. He always had a camera in one hand and a video camera in the other to record every moment, however once cellular phones came around with both of these options included, he was dangerous. He even knew how to work Snap Chat better than some of his grandchildren.
Our Dad was a respectful man and others also treated him with respect. He did all that he could to instill the thought of respect into his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, to ALWAYS use your manners, be polite and treat others how you would like to be treated. Had we not used our manners, we knew what was coming once we got home. Discipline was important and at the forefront of who he was, and that helped mold us to become who we are today and we couldn't be more proud and grateful.
These are just a FEW of the many memories we have of our Dad. We will miss him tremendously and we will cherish these memories in our hearts forever.
We love you Dad and we will see you and JunJun again.

Burial- The burial is open to friends and family and will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 LAWNDALE ST, HOUSTON, Texas 77023-2549.
