

She was the shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her time on earth was mark with love, compassion with devotion to family and friends.
She is survived by Jim, her husband of 39 years, sisters-in-law Judy Vesely, Janet Brown and Joan McDaugale. She will be missed by her 20 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Jean Zelenka and brother-in-law Ron Brown.
She retired from Aetna/Prudential Healthcare. Her passion was rehabilitating wild animal especially squirrels. She was known as the squirrel whisper to friends and co-rehabilitators. She really enjoyed living in the Costa Rican rainforest watching the monkeys, birds and squirrels. Her reputation as a master fisherwoman is shared by many. Lately, she enjoyed playing bridge with the residents in our community.
Those who knew Flo will remember her giving personality, acceptance of people, love of travel and enjoying foods from around the world.
A celebration of life will be held at Terrytowne Estates Retirement Community, 1815 Enclave Pkwy, Houston, on October 14 at 2:00 PM.
