She graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1943, and then attended the University of Texas and the University of Houston where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She met the love of her life, Dr. Bruce Cameron, whom she married on the 21st of April 1945 in Norfolk, Virginia. Their marriage took them on adventures to Rochester, Minnesota, where Dr. Cameron received his specialty in orthopedic surgery from the Mayo Clinic, and to Japan, where he served in the Korean War. Frances’ husband and family were the focus of her life, and she lovingly and devotedly raised her four children. She always made her home warm and welcoming, and all those around her comfortable and happy with her bright humor and sense of fun.
