Frances Willodine Coker, wife of Henry Coker, mother of three children and an elementary teacher, went to be with the Lord December 27. She cared deeply for her family, for the people in the churches where they served, and for her little 1st graders. She was always involved in the church through teaching Sunday School and playing the piano and the organ. Frances will be greatly missed by her two children, Sylvia Cummings and husband, Paul, who are missionaries in Spain and Craig Coker and wife, Lanissa. Craig is a financial advisor and Lanissa is working on her Master's in History.
Frances was loved by her five grandchildren: Heather Johnson, Ryan Cummings, Crystal Coker, Carmen Lingenfelter, and Daylon Hethcock; six great-grandchildren: Christian, Elisa, Jonathan, Rosa, Liesl, and Ava; brother, Martin Egelston and sister, Carolyn Sims.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veteran's Memorial Drive. A graveside service and committal will follow in Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Warrior and Family Support Center, 3138 Rawley Chambers, San Antonio, TX 78219.
