Francisco Rodriguez

Francisco “Pancho” Rodriguez, 95, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Thursday, November 16, 2023. He was born in Laredo, Texas on November 17, 1927.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Martha; children, Patricia Delgado (Dwayne), Francisco Rodriguez (Maria), Maria Castro (Sergio) and Jose Rodriguez; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was a great neon glass blower who worked for Houser Neon, which was a renowned sign company in its day. This fact was discovered on a trip to Ohio visiting a neon sign museum and a glass blower there mentioned that the Houser brothers and their neon sign company was very well known for its outstanding work.

He was a man of great faith, who loved the Lord and his Virgencita de Guadalupe. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, which he loved and faithfully served in so many ways. He was a pillar of the Holy Name community.

He will be so missed by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 22, at Holy Name Catholic Church, 1920 Marion St., Houston, TX 77009 from 9:30 to 10:00 am followed by a rosary at 10:00 am and a funeral mass at 11:00 am. Funeral procession to follow to Forest Park Westheimer.

A reception will be held at Holy Name at 2:30 pm.
