Frank August Korenek

1928-2016

Frank A. Korenek, 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 26, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Agnes Korenek and five siblings. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Edith, of 68 years; his sons, Kenneth and wife, Nerissa, and Michael, and wife, Cindy; his brother Johnny, and wife, Marlene; six grandchildren, Jason, Jody, Brandon, Cameron, Kristi, and Ashton; great-grandson Preston, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 5:30-8:30PM, with a Rosary beginning at 7:30PM at Pat H. Foley & Co. Funeral Home.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX 77018.

Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Houston, TX.

The family would like to extend our thanks to the best care givers that any family could ask for, Brenda, Chelice (Lesa), and Marshette. Your dedication, love, caring, and compassion for Frank has been unwavering and we will be forever grateful to each of you. To the administration, Dr. Punjwani, the Nurse Practitioners, and the staff at Vosswood Nursing Center- thank you for your unending care.

If you choose, memorial donations in Frank’s memory may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, MD Anderson Cancer Research, or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
