Although I do not have the depth of experience that her sons (my cousins) have of their beloved mother, as her nephew, I have actually known Tia Fresa twenty years longer than they did. 
I was going through our family photos the other day in remembrance of Tia Fresa and I immediately noted that most of her early photos had John, Glenn, Margie and/or myself in the photographs.  Tia Fresa was always a part of my childhood and, as Margie mentioned in her on-line Eulogy, some of our best childhood memories were when we would stay overnight at Tia Fresa and Uncle Glenn’s house when we were little.  Sadly, when they moved to Houston, our frequent family dinners, picnics, barbecues became a thing of the past.  
As with most eulogies, we often talk about the virtues of our dearly departed.  That said, I remember Tia Fresa as kind, faithful and brave.  She was a loving and faithful wife to Uncle Glenn and a loving and faithful daughter to our Abuelita Francis.  Both my mother and father loved Tia Fresia and she loved them.   Tia Fresa loved children, her boys,  and they all loved her.  Tia Fresa was a brave young woman to leave Peru to start a new life in the US and even braver to marry someone outside of her race in the 1950’s.
Of all her virtues, Tia Fresa had humility.  I do not mean that she thought less of herself, but rather would think of herself less and more of others.  She never needed to be the center of attention or a team leader. She was content to help others in any way she could.
My parents taught their children to strive to be better, work hard and to be successful, but they did not instill in us the virtue of humility.  Over the years, I have come to realize that the people I’ve deeply admired are profoundly humble and have achieved this virtue through an intense self-awareness.  
This is the person that Tia Fresa was to me.  I will cherish my memories of her and will  be forever grateful to have been her nephew and to have her love.

Billy we are so sorry for your loss. You have always told us nothing but good sweet things about your mother.

Fresia Aurelia Ford, 99, passed away April 18, 2024, in Williamson, Georgia, her home for the last 20 years. She moved to Williamson from Houston, where she resided most of her life. 

Fresia Aurelia Ford was born in Trujillo, Peru on February 13, 1925. Fresia immigrated to the United States from Peru to attend college in California to study architecture at UC-Berkeley in San Francisco. She then moved to Midland, Texas to be with her brother, Bill Sauri, who was working in the oil industry. There, she met Glen Ford and began a family. They had three sons Kirby, William, and Kevin.

In Midland, Fresia worked in the oil business with her brother, and when she moved to Houston, she worked as a teacher in church and Sunday schools. Before she moved from Houston, she was teaching at and attending Wilcrest Baptist Church in Alief, Texas-Houston.

In her free time, Fresia was an avid crafter, providing crocheted angels and blankets for many family members and friends. Fresia cared for and loved many dogs in her life.

Fresia was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Glen Gail Ford; her brother, Bill Sauri. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Ford and wife Deborah of Peachtree City, Georgia; William Ford of Williamson, Georgia; Kirby Ford of Williamson, Georgia. Grand Children,  Chris Ford and wife Kaylee of Dallas, Texas; Ben Ford of Athens, Georgia.

To the Ford Family- Fresia was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother- she had so much fortitude and an incredible strong woman. 

She loved serving the church and worked till she could- she is now with her King and is at peace. My prayers are with you in this difficult time- may peace be with you.

Fresia , Glen and their three sons were our neighbors in Houston, Texas, we grew to be good neighbors because of the children , in fact Kevin and our son Ben continue to be friends. 
   Fresia, as I saw her was a good Christian always working for the church she worshiped. Our condolences to Kevin and his brothers from the BA Rodriguez family . God bless you Kevin.

Kevin and family.  Very sorry to hear about the loss of your mother Freisia.    Very fond memories of her  including when we still living in Alief. West Bellfort.  She was a kind and giving person.  She raised a great son.

You do not often come across people in this world that love your children as much as you do. But I can honestly say I found that in Ms. Fresia. Not just with my boys, but so many of the children that grew up in Wilcrest Baptist Church.  Ms. Fresia cared for our children as though they were her own. She loved on them unconditionally and taught them all the bible stories children grow to cherish.  Ms. Fresia not only gave her time and hard work, she gave her love and devotion to so many.  Ms. Fresia will always hold a very special place in our hearts. She was such an intricate part of our children's lives and in our lives.  My heart is sad, but I know she is resting with the Lord, and I'm sure there are lots of children gathered around her just waiting for a story and a donut hole. We will love you forever Ms. Fresia.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of "Ms. Fresia."  She loved our little girl like her own, spoiling her every Sunday morning with donut holes!  So many children at Wilcrest Baptist Church were loved by her.  My deepest sympathy to the family who lives on without her.

I am so blessed to have met this previous women. It didn't take me long at all to fall in love with her. She reminded me so much of my own mother. A survivor and warrior in her faith and her family. I only knew her for a couple of months and gave my care to her in her time of need. The whole entire family became my family. I will miss my visits with her and the memories will stay in my heart forever. You rest my sweet angel in heaven until we see you again.

As a young girl I would occasionally spend the weekend with my Tia Fresia.  She taught me how to make homemade crafts.  She used to make li’l angel crochet ornaments, ornamented tissue boxes and the like.  She was the best cook.  Those visits were my favorite childhood memories.  She was the sweetest Aunt, who loved her boys and nephews ‘n nieces.  She loved and had the biggest heart for her German shepherds and other dogs throughout the years.  She will be remembered for her kindness.  ✝️Rest in Peace Tia Frescia.  You will be missed💞
