Gary Michael Smith

Gary was born November 2nd, 1950 to Marvis & Luella Smith, in Houston, TX. Growing up he enjoyed playing little league baseball, YMCA football, golf, and hunting trips with his family. After graduating from Milby High School in 1969, Gary went on to attend the University of Houston where he obtained his business degree and became an Accountant. Gary & Debbie were married on June 11th,1988 in Marshall, TX.

Gary had a big passion for hunting and sports, he loved it so much that he coached numerous little league football and baseball teams. Most of all, Gary enjoyed watching his grandsons play sports.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Marvis & Luella Smith.

Left to cherish his memories are, his wife Debbie Smith; Daughter, Amanda Eskew & husband Gordon; Son, Brandon Roberson and girlfriend Sara McHann; Grandsons, Matthew Roberson & Joey Eskew; Sister, Sue Rightly; Brother, Larry “Buster” Smith & wife Ann; Mother In Law & Father In Law, Lynda & Gene Weaver; Sister In Law, Sandra Morris & husband Gus; Aunt & Uncle, Pat & Claude Tamplin; Aunt, Geraldine Walker; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to send a special thanks to, Charlie Walker, best friend & cousin.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday November 29th, 2017 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Memorial service will be Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at 2:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer Chapel with a reception to follow.
