Those of us who were blessed to be touched by her existence know the imprint she left on our hearts and will cherish each day we got to spend with her.
Gaye was the most loving mother and Gams. Her family meant everything to her. She took every opportunity to make lasting memories with us all. She loved going to the beach, taking road trips, or flying to new adventures. She loved cheering on her grandchildren at wrestling events, football games and even car races. She was their biggest fan! In her quiet time, she loved to sit in her recliner and read. But most importantly, Gaye loved just being with her greatest accomplishment - her family.
Gaye is survived by her three children Steve and Dana Green of Marble Falls, TX, Sherry and Russell Buttitta of Houston, TX and Shelley Upshaw of Houston, TX; Her seven grandchildren Stephanie Green of Jarrell, TX, Kaitlyn and Scott Scharinger of Clearwater, FL, Clayton Green of Marble Falls, TX, Anthony and Kaysie Buttitta of Houston, TX, Dalton Upshaw and Mandie of Pearland TX, Dakota Upshaw of Houston, TX and Dustin Upshaw of Houston, TX; and her seven great-grandchildren Chad Tague (13), Caiden (6) and Cooper France (3), Alexis (8), Kylie (6), and Maddie Scharinger (4) and Mason Upshaw (8).
There will be a memorial service in the Chapel of Chimes at Brookside Funeral Home (Lauder Road) on Thursday, March 10th at 2:00 pm. There will be a gathering for family and friends at the home of Russell and Sherry Buttitta at 22614 Wixford Ln, Tomball, TX immediately following the service.
