George Allan Gilchrist

George also known as “Al” graduated from Lancing Michigan and received a diploma from State of Michigan. He met Maria in Houston, Texas and married on October 10, 2010. Al had a career in construction where he owned ALSAN Construction for 65 years. He was a member of Carpenters Union and had a passion for Model Boat Building and BMX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorthy Gilchrist.

Al is survived by his wife, Maria Gilchrist; son, Steve Gilchrist (Michelle Gilchrist); daughter, Kory Mason (Cliff Mason); sisters, Sandy Richter-Holse and Judy Bishop; grandchildren, Amber Turk, Brooke Gonzalez, Jasom Alonran, Amia Rios, Azael Rios, and Adan Rios; great grandchildren, Fisher Dean Gonzalez; step daughter, Maria Ruiz (Felix Rios).

A visitation for George will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
