Gilberto Arevalo Rodriguez, 72 years of age

Born August 13, 1949. In Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas. To his parents Jesus Arevalo and Dominga Rodriguez.

Passed to a better life on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Married to Hortencia Arevalo for 43 years.

He leaves his children Angelica and Eduardo Contreras, Gilberto Jr and Veronica Arevalo, Maria and Juan Sustaita, Pedro Jesus and Raquel Arevalo, Dominga and Josue Quezada, Elisama and Miguel Alvarado, Eleazar Arevalo and Jarib Arevalo.

His grandchildren Jezreel, Jordan, Jaydon, Chloe, Gilberto III, Merab, Michael, Leah, Gema, Arly, Jason, Adam, Eden, Josue, Noa, Nathan, Ethan, Abigail and Azriel.

His great grandchild Leon.

Gilberto’s childhood was spent in a farm, using tractors to work the earth, plant and grow crops. A passion he would continue in his later years.

In his adolescent years Gilberto was a sport car racer and with this sport he learned the skill of fixing automobiles.

He enjoyed working on automobiles, Gilberto became an expect master mechanic all his life. He enjoyed taking engines apart and rebuilding them to a pristine state.

The last 20 years of his life Gilberto started his hobby of restoring old tractors. He too was an avid landscaper, this is where he put his tractor talents to use. He would obtain a rustic lot that had been abandoned due to unleveled dirt, overgrown trees and shrubs and Gilberto would turn the land into useful and prosperous land. He enjoyed planting and growing many crops. He was blessed with a green thumb, plant he touched, plant that would grow to produce abundante fruit.

Gilberto had many talents he was a wonderful Bar B Que pit master. In every family gathering he was the one in charge of the grill.

We will never forget the beautiful sense of humor he had and the stories full of emotions and action. There was never a sad moment, you could fix anything with story or a joke.

The best inheritance he left his family was to leave them with the true knowledge of the word of God. He was a grateful server of the Lord for many years.

Gilberto you have left this earth too soon, we will miss you so much.

Pasó a una vida mejor el Viernes 22 de Octubre de 2021.

Casado con Hortencia Arévalo desde el 31 de Diciembre de 1977.

Deja a sus hijos Angélica y Eduardo Contreras, Gilberto Jr y Verónica Arévalo, María y Juan Sustaita, Pedro Jesús y Raquel Arévalo, Dominga y Josué Quezada, Elisama y Miguel Alvarado, Eleazar Arévalo y Jarib Arévalo.

La infancia de Gilberto la pasó en una granja, usando tractores para trabajar la tierra, plantar y cultivar. Una pasión que continuaría en sus últimos años.

En sus años de adolescencia , Gilberto era un corredor de autos deportivos y con el deporte aprendió la habilidad de arreglar automóviles.

El disfrutaba mucho trabajando en los automóviles, Gilberto se convirtió en un maestro mecánico durante toda su vida. Disfrutaba desmontar motores y reconstruirlos hasta quedar como nuevos.

Los últimos 20 años de su vida Gilberto comenzó su afición de restaurar tractores viejos. Él también era un ávido paisajista, aquí es donde puso en práctica su talento con sus tractores. Conseguiría un terreno rústico que había sido abandonado debido a la tierra desnivelada, árboles y arbustos crecidos y Gilberto convertía la tierra en tierra útil y próspera. Disfrutaba sembrando y cultivando muchos cultivos. Fue bendecido con un pulgar verde, planta que tocaba, planta que crecería para producir abundante fruto.

Gilberto tenía muchos talentos, era un maravilloso maestro de la parrilla le gusta hacer diferentes platillos, pero su favorito era la carne y pollo asado. En cada reunión familiar él era el encargado de la parrilla.

Nunca olvidaremos el hermoso sentido del humor y sus historias llenas de emoción y acción. Nunca había un momento triste todo se arreglaba con una historia o chiste.

La mejor herencia que dejó a su familia fue dejarles el verdadero conocimiento de la palabra de Dios. Fue un servidor agradecido del Señor durante muchos años.

Gilberto, has dejado esta tierra demasiado pronto, te extraño mucho.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
