Gloria Ann Foreman Patrick, a loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend was chosen to join her heavenly family on November 9, 2020. Gloria was born in Marshall, Texas on May 21, 1944 to J.D. and Nancy Foreman. Her family moved to Houston at a young age where she attended school. Early in life she married, Ruben Steptoe and had four children. Gloria loved Jesus her entire life. In 1977, she rededicated her life and walk to Jesus and joined the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and became of service to Jesus and to others. Forty-three years ago, she married the love of her life and her forever partner in Christ and in life, Richard Patrick.
Gloria Ann enjoyed life! She loved spending time with her family and friends, going to church and testifying about God’s grace to anyone who would listen. She enjoyed going back to her hometown, Marshall, Texas to just sit on the porch, watch the kids fish and listen to all of the chaos that came with her family. She raised her kids and grandkids to know and understand the power of prayer. She was a praying grandmother! Although she battled many years of sickness, she never complained or lost her faith. She shared many memories with her family up to the day that she departed this life.
Gloria leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Richard Patrick, son, James Steptoe (Tami), daughters, Sheila Steptoe, and Nancy Bracy(Randal), stepson, Richard Patrick, Jr., brothers, George Foreman and Roy Foreman, sister, Mary Dumas, a special sister-cousin, Bernadine London, uncle, Dan King, twelve grandchildren: Sarina, Georgia, Gloria, Zacchaeus, Jarne, Yavonda, Jojetta, Annalessa, Elizabeth, James Jody, James Joseph, and Darnisha, 19 great grandchildren, too many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to list.
Gloria is preceeded in death by her parents, sister, Willie May, brothers, Robert and Kenneth Wayne and her son, Charlie Perry.
