Gloria Dean Sicola

Gloria Dean Sicola, beloved Wife , Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 27, 2025, at the age of 91, in Houston, Texas. Gloria was born in Ennis, Texas on April 22, 1934, to Gordon and Vergie Taylor. Gloria was a caring, loving wife and mother to 4 children. Gloria was a stay-at-home Mom and homemaker for many years. She did take a job outside the home as a sales person at Kaplan's Ben Hur, an upscale department store in the Houston Heights area. She worked for over 20 years at Kaplan's.

Gloria was known for her generosity and dedication to her family. She enjoyed the outdoors planting flowers and caring for her roses and flower garden. Everyone loved her and her husband’s spaghetti, meatballs and fried chicken dinners on Sunday afternoon.

Gloria is predeceased by husband, Louis J.; son, Samuel G.; daughter, Gloria Ann; grandsons Richard Stone and Anthony Sicola, sister Patsy Ann; parents, Gordon Taylor and Vergie Clark.

Gloria is survived by two daughters, Mary L. Stone and partner, Jesse; Sarah I. Williams and husband Norman; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 8th, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St., Houston, Tx 77007.

Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. and Catholic Mass Service at 11 a.m.

Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Tx 77023
