Gloria Elola Wade

Gloria Wade, born on April 22, 1951, and passed away on January

11, 2026, was a loving devoted mother and friend. She was found

in a peaceful state in her home.

Gloria is survived by her son, BJ Wade, her daughter-in-law, Ashleigh Wade, and her granddaughter, Lauryn Wade.

Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Paula Latrice Wade, her parents, Libby and Clinton English, her sisters, Coreen Tatum, Pamela Betts, Delores Dials, her brothers Clinton English Jr., and James Mack English.

Gloria is survived by her two daughters in kind, LaShonda Navarro

and Danielle Wooten-Jones (Danielle’s son and Paula’s God Son

Shelbert Wilson), and her brothers, Lee Alvin, Howard Lee, and

Woodrow English; their families; and her nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her radiant spirit and her love for life,

which she embodied like rays of sunshine and blue skies. Gloria

never met a stranger.

Gloria was a devoted member of the Rock Of Salvation Holiness

Church for more than 55 years and loved to be of service to the

community as well as to the Lord!

Gloria’s memory will never be forgotten, and she will always be

cherished by her loved ones and friends.

A visitation will be held on January 22, 2026, from 09:00 am to 10:00 am at Christ Holy Temple, located at 4101 Corto St. Houston, Texas 77016. The funeral service is scheduled for January 22, 2026, from 10:00 am at the same location. The committal service will take place on January 22, 2026, at 2 pm at Fairfield Methodist Cemetery in Fairfield Texas.
