Guadalupe Rios

She is survived by her children, Carlos Gutierrez (Gloria), Brush, Co, Elizabeth Valasquez, Porter, Tx, Criselda Guerra, Houston, Tx, Viola Guerra, Houston, Tx; Alicia Guerra, Sugarland, TX ; Gloria Hernandez, Houston, Tx; and Rosa Camacho, Houston, Tx; and sisters Dolores Alvarez (Victorio) Houston, Tx; and Juanita Rios- Johnston (Tom) Aurora, Co, Arturo Rios (El Paso, Tx). She leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Guadalupe retired from International Airlines Chelsea Catering in 2005 after 10 years. She spent her retirement days helping care for grandchildren, tending to her plants, home and traveling when time allowed. Our mother and sister was loving caring and so extremely independent that she inherited from the Rios women. She was a strong of heart and beautiful in and out. She was always willing to give you advice and show her wisdom and as a big sister she made us laugh and took road trips with us.

Lupe will be missed greatly by her family and we will continue to honor her Legacy by living out lives to the fullest.

A visitation for Guadalupe will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A rosary service will occur Monday, December 20, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
