Guadalupe Ybarra

Guadalupe "Kilo" G. Ybarra went to be with our Lord on August 17, 2023, surrounded by his immediate family after a short illness in Houston, TX. He was born on February 27, 1952, and was formerly from Kingsville, TX.

Kilo graduated from Henrietta M. King High School and later received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&I University, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and ultimately retired from the University of Houston after 21 years of service as a Financial Aid Advisor. Fond memories of Kilo's kind nature, jovial disposition, and exceptional sense of humor will always be present in the minds of family and friends. Kilo is survived by his spouse, Eva Alicia Ybarra, and Brother Guillermo "Willie" G. Ybarra (Elia), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos & Guadalupe Ybarra, and his brothers and sisters; Reymundo G. Ybarra, Jose G. Ybarra, Santos G. Ybarra, Dora G. Cano (Manuel), Julia G. Garcia (Antonio), and Linda G. Rios (Manuel).

A Viewing will be available from 11am - 9pm on August 25, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Freeway. A Rosary will take place at 5:30pm, followed by a Service at 7pm. Kilo will be laid to rest at the Chamberlain Cemetery (located at 735 W. Caesar Avenue, Kingsville, TX 78363) on August 26, 2023 at 11:45 a.m.

Guadalupe "Kilo" G. Ybarra fue a estar con nuestro Señor el 17 de agosto de 2023, rodeado de su familia inmediata después de una breve enfermedad en Houston, TX. Nació el 27 de febrero de 1952 y anteriormente era de Kingsville, TX.

Kilo se graduó de la escuela secundaria Henrietta M. King y luego recibió su licenciatura en ciencias de la Universidad Texas A&I, la Corporación Federal de Seguros de Depósitos (FDIC) y finalmente se retiró de la Universidad de Houston después de 21 años de servicio como asesor de ayuda financiera. Los buenos recuerdos del carácter amable, el carácter jovial y el excepcional sentido del humor de Kilo siempre estarán presentes en la mente de familiares y amigos. A Kilo le sobreviven su esposa, Eva Alicia Ybarra, y su hermano Guillermo "Willie" G. Ybarra (Elia), y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Santos y Guadalupe Ybarra, y sus hermanos y hermanas; Reymundo G. Ybarra, José G. Ybarra, Santos G. Ybarra, Dora G. Cano (Manuel), Julia G. García (Antonio) y Linda G. Ríos (Manuel).

Una visita estará disponible de 11 a. m. a 9 p. m. el 25 de agosto de 2023 en Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Freeway. Se llevará a cabo un Rosario a las 5:30 p.m., seguido de un Servicio a las 7:00 p.m. Kilo será enterrado en el cementerio Chamberlain (ubicado en 735 W. Caesar Avenue, Kingsville, TX 78363) el 26 de agosto de 2023 a la 11:45 a.m.
