Harding Paul Yep

Harding—A first born son, a big brother, a first nephew, a first grandchild and an oldest cousin, a “funcle”, a wise-loving father, a loyal friend. Because Harding was first in many of the roles he held in his family, he was a family trendsetter. He set a high standard for his siblings, his cousins, his daughters and his friends to follow. He was the “rock” for his immediate and extended family to lean on and to depend on. The support Harding gave his family was always given with grace, generosity and love. Family was everything to Harding. Whatever the reason for gathering, Harding and his girls were there. He made everyone feel like family. The Christmases and Thanksgivings held at his house were celebrations of the true meaning of family. He never minded the mess of the traditional nerf gun wars. His prime ribs were legendary!

He loved Houston sports teams, especially tailgating at Texans games. It wasn’t at all unusual to run into him and his daughters at an Astros game. He traveled the world—Europe with Brooke, cruises with the family, trips for both business and pleasure.

Harding’s favorite and most important job was being Jordan and Hayden’s father. He loved telling folksabout their interests and their many accomplishments. He was a proud Dad. They were his joys and the number one priority in his life, while everything else took a backseat.

Harding is preceded in death by his wife, Brooke. He is survived by his daughters, Jordan Rose Yep and Hayden Ann Yep; mother Dorothy Chew; stepfather Calvin Chew; brother Phillip Chew and wife Uyen; sister Christi Shih and spouse Lysander, nieces Emilia Chew, Chloe and Olivia Shih; nephew Harrison Chew; father Harding Yep and stepmother Christine; brother Ryan Yep and wife Kaitlin and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Harding’s passing has left a void in his family’s lives that will never be filled but will always be remembered in our hearts.

A committal service for Harding will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Cr.
