Harold PaPa Joe Joseph Dronet Sr.

1928-2016

Harold Joseph Dronet, Sr, " Papa Joe", 88, passed away in Houston, Texas on December 25, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Giles Dronet and Alice Marie Dronet; his sons, Harold Joseph Dronet, Jr. and Daniel Franklin Johnson, and his grandsons, Gary Joseph Dronet, Jr. and Hugh Joseph Dronet.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Smith Dronet; 5 children, Patrick Neal Dronet, Sr., Thomas Andrew Dronet (Gail), Gary Joseph Dronet, Sr. (Debbie), Katherine Ann Dronet Deskin (Donald), Patricia Anne Dronet (Randy); 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 4 stepchildren, Karen Polk, Steve Polk (Teresa), Sherry Peterson, Randy Polk (Ashley); 3 step-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Harold was a truck driver for Saia Motor Freight 48 years. He retired for only a year before going back and driving for Palletized Trucking for 8 years. After that, he retired for good. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Daddy never met a stranger, and gave his whole heart to everyone. Daddy will be missed so much.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Northwest Crossing Baptist Church, 6722 W. Little York in Houston, Texas.
