

Harold Jr. graduated in the first four-year graduating class at St. Pius X High School in 1960 and attended the University of Houston. He worked in the grocery industry as a manager for Weingarten’s and Food Giant and eventually attended trade school and became a licensed Plumber. Harold Jr. worked as a Master Plumber and Superintendent for Natkin Co. Mechanical Contractors for many years. He ran several large jobs and helped to build and remodel numerous buildings at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX and in the Greater Houston Area, including locations at the Budweiser Brewery and Busch Gardens Houston, TSU, and the MD Anderson Library at UH. He later started his own Plumbing Company, Landreneau Enterprises providing repair and new construction services to residential and small business customers. He was a union member of Plumbers Local Union #68 and former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2917, the Elks and SPJST Lodge Pokrok.
He was a member of Boy Scouts of America as a youth, and served as an adult Scout leader for more than 20 years in the Cub Scouts and as the Scoutmaster of Troops 138 & Troop 1138 at All Saints and Christ The King Catholic Churches, respectively. He also volunteered as a Brownie Girl Scout Parent.
He is preceded in death by wife Rita Joyce Landreneau, parents, Harold Joseph Landreneau, Sr., and Lucille Landreneau and younger brother, Armond Landreneau.
Harold Jr. is survived by Eileen Boyle; son Harold J. Landreneau III and wife Cynthia; daughter Pilar Landreneau and husband Drew Samples; four grandchildren; and siblings, Michael Landreneau and wife Linda, Kathleen (Landreneau) Schilhab and husband Rudolph Sr.
Vigil Liturgy and Rosary will be, Thursday, May 11, 2017 7:00 pm at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 N. Main St., Houston, TX 77009. Funeral Mass will be held, Friday, May 12, 2017 10:00 am at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4419 N. Main St., Houston, TX 77009.
