Harriet A. Voss Majors

Harriet Majors, 79, passed from this life on Monday, July 12, 2010. She was born on December 7, 1930 in Sioux City, Iowa; she was the only child born of Frank C. and Harriet J. Voss. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents. She graduated from Central High School, “The Castle”, and the University of Colorado and became an elementary school teacher.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a true friend to many. Harriet is leaving us with many wonderful memories to cherish forever. She was a devoted member of PEO, Chapter EL.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles E. Majors; son, Randy Majors and wife Debbie of Tulsa, Ok; daughter, Jay Majors Bartley and husband Steve Bartley of Aledo, Texas; 4 grandchildren,

Draegen Majors, Karsten Majors, Hayden Bartley and Preston Bartley; as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services celebrating Harriet’s life will be held on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with Rev. Simmons and Rev. McPhail officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, Houston, Texas.
