Hawley Lee Sloan, passed away March 25, 2011. He was born to William Alexander and Beulah Mae Sloan in Norfolk, VA on November 23, 1923. Hawley proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, he worked for RCA as a technician and was a long time member of the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Estella Sloan; parents; sisters Florence Harrington & husband Ruperts, Mattie Lee Grebner & husband Harry; brothers Stephen M. Sloan, Chester W. Sloan, William A. Sloan & wife Agnes, Lincoln M. Sloan, and John W. Sloan. Hawley is survived by his children Beverly Duff & husband Cooter, Ronald Mercado & wife Connee; grandchildren Randy, Larry, Wesley; great grandson Dustin; sister Katrina C. Edwards; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, April 1st from 5-8pm at Pat H. Foley Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 2nd at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery, 13401 Eastex Freeway, Houston 77039.
