

Herbert Lynwood Hall, age 88, departed this life on October 10, 2015. He was a person of many interests. Born in Tampa, Florida on December 17, 1926 to Meda Siverd and Earl Wallace Hall. Herbert earned his Pilot’s license at the age of 16 and served two years as a Navy Aerial Gunner. He graduated in 1950 from the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction. He then moved to Houston Texas in 1954 and worked 17 years for United States Gypsum as an Arch Service Rep. Herbert started his own company, Dry Plank System in 1971 and served as a Construction Consultant. Herbert also obtained Patents on his Panel System in 1972 and used that System on the first Mini Warehouse, Apartment Floor Decks, Elevator Shaft walls, Pitched and Flat Roof Decks, Apartment Fire Walls, Post Tensions Concrete Slabs and General Construction Consulting.
He was married for 67 years to his childhood best friend; Mary Jo Farrior Hall, who survives along with his sons; Dr. Thomas F. Hall and William Wallace Hall, daughter; Jo Ellen Richey and husband C.O. Richey, Jr., twin grandsons; Grant Richey and Andrew Richey whose wife is Brittaney, granddaughter; Molly Elizabeth Richey and great grandson; Weston Drew Richey.
Visitation will be held at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th Street, Houston, Texas, 77018 on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services starting at 2:00 p.m. also at Pat H. Foley & Company. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060.
