Dr. Herb J. Jones, Jr., 91, went to meet the Lord on January 9th, 2013 at his Houston, TX home. Herb was a proud veteran of WWII and Korean War, leaving the service as a major. Dr. Jones served his community as an optometrist and owner of TSO offices for 30 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Ann, and four children (Dennis, Keith, Marcia, Herb III) and four step-children (Vickie, Jim, Don, Karen). Herb is remembered fondly by numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013, 6-8:00 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, 10:00am at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Memorial Celebration will be Saturday, January 12, 2013, 12:00 noon, at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas followed by a reception for family and friends at the church.
