Herbert Miranda

Herbert was born in Bolivia in 1958 to Dr. Herbert Miranda Pereyra and Ligia Plata Zeballos. Herbert graduated from La Salle Santa Cruz, Bolivia in 1977. He relocated to Houston, Texas in 1999, where he made his home for many years. Herbert met the love of his life, Cerlane in 2019 while visiting his hometown Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Herbert has three children, Carolina, Daniela and Geronimo. He treasured his time with his grandkids: Preston, Parker, Olivia, Victoria, Julian and Joaquin and loved being their Abuelo Herbert. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, strength, hard work, honesty, and always helping others with a heart of service and most especially his churrasco gatherings. Herbert battled cancer for the past three (3) years. He never stopped fighting. We will remember him as our warrior that never gave up and didn’t lose this fight, but rather gained eternal life in heaven with our Lord. His personality brought warmth and joy to so many people in Houston and Bolivia. His passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and loved him.

Herbert was preceded in death by Dr. Herbert Miranda (Father), Mario Bechara (step-Father).

He is survived by his loving wife, Cerlane, his mother, Ligia, his sisters: Mercedes, Roxana, Veronica and Marcia, his brother, Juan Carlos, his children, Carolina, married to Dr. Justin of New Braunfels, Daniela, married to Oscar Canales of Houston, and Geronimo, married to Courtney Miranda of Houston, as well as his 6 grandchildren: Preston, Parker, Olivia, Victoria, Julian and Joaquin.

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20th, at 10 am at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home and Cemetery at 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077.
