Hercey Delmon Bolton

Hercey Delmon "H.D." Bolton, age 95, of Tomball, Texas, affectionately known by his family as "Dad" and "Paw-Paw Dad" went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 1, 2024, All Saints Day, in Kingwood, Texas.

Hercey was born on February 11, 1929, in Huttig, Arkansas to the late A.G. and Ruby Della Bolton. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara "Ya-Yang" Bolton, brothers A.G. Jr. and Hubert, and sister Ann Bailey. He is survived by his sister Anita and brother-in-law Roy Arrant.

Hercey fondly reminisced of his childhood and small-town life experience as the "greatest place on earth." Hercey met and married his high school sweetheart Barbara Jean McGough on June 2, 1950. After serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, Hercey and Barbara moved to Houston, Texas in 1954, where they raised their two sons until moving to Tomball, Texas in 1989.

Hercey was a devoted husband to Barbara for 70 years and loving father to his sons Daniel and Steven and daughter-in-law Angela. Hercey adored and was very proud of his grandchildren, Eric and wife Kristie; Evan and wife Marcelle; Ed and wife Christine; Brandon and wife Kandace; Ashley and husband Brandon; Steven and wife Daisy; Robert and wife Kimmy; Kent and wife Deavon; Tyler and husband Marco.

Great grandchildren, Loreli; Seth; Emma; Michael; Araceli; Maddie; Emery; Jared; Nathan; Mason; Aubry; Chloe; Brianna; McKenzie; Conner; Ashton; Lilliana; Analia; Lucas and Noemi.

Great-great grandchildren Everleigh and Aden.

Although "Dad" may no longer be here physically, his memory and legacy will live on through his loved ones and friends.

A visitation for Hercey will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038. A celebration of life will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038. A committal service with military honors will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038. A catered reception will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038.

Serving as pallbearers are Steven Bolton, Kent Bolton, Eric Bolton, Evan Bolton, Brandon Bolton and Robert Bolton.
