Bo was born to the late James Samuel Garrison and Doris Holloman Garrison, a welder and home maker respectively, in Galveston, Texas on June 28, 1945. He was raised in the Christian faith, a Baptist, and a lifelong follower of Christ. Bo moved to Corpus Christi with his family as a small boy developed a love for the ocean and fishing which he shared with his brother Ronnie and their mother Doris. He attended Landrum Middle School and later, Spring Branch High School. In 1966, Bo joined the Army and his specialty was welding.
Bo had a larger than life personality and never met a stranger. He loved music and was often playing his guitar for family and friends. Later in life, Bo found enjoyment in painting and was a talented artist who loved to express himself through his painting. He was a skilled salesman and prided himself in his achievements, especially those while employed by the Houston Chronicle. Bo traveled to many places but always returned to Spring Branch area in Houston where he was very well known in the community. He will dearly missed by many and we celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
