

He was born in Odessa Ukraine on September 21, 1952. His childhood in Ukraine instilled a lifelong passion for construction and he loved to speak about it with anyone who would listen.
Ilya became an American citizen on April 27, 1983. Ilya loved the United States and was very proud to be an American. Ilya earned a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Houston in 1988. Ilya’s favorite phrase was “life is good!”
He leaves behind his children Kassandra Callahan (Pete), Jose Del Valle (Nicholle), Maria Buslovich and his grandchildren Alexander Buslovich, Ryan Callahan, Dancee Street and Nick Street. He is also survived by his cousins Bella Yarov, Rima Bluvband and Raphael Bluvband. He was preceded in death by his father Mark Buslovich and Mother Raisa Bluvband.
The family reception will be held at Brookside Cypress Creek Funeral Home (9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77095 in Cypress) from 6 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday June 26.
The graveside service is Thursday June 27 at 9:30 AM at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery 1037 Post Oak Rd, Houston, TX 77055. All family and friends are welcome.
