16 février 19333 juin 2021

On, February 16, 1933 a beautiful baby girl was born to Jewel Spikes and Lewis Welcome, whom they named Imogene Welcome.

She accepted Jesus into her heart on March 18,1974 at Law Memorial COG.I.C under the leadership of Rev. N.H. Henderson and she was still a member under the leadership of Bishop W.A. Jenkins.

Imogene married at an early age to the love of her life Welch Orvelle Ballard on October 2, 1952; and this union was blessed with a son that they named Wayne Reginald Ballard.

Imogene made her transition from this earthly life into eternal rest on June 3, 2021. She is now reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Welch O. Ballard; parents Lewis Welcome and Jewel Bryant; son Wayne Ballard, three brothers John and Sam Welcome and Joe Benny Foward. She leaves to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy to her brother David Tatum, her stepsons James Ballard and Broderick Williams, her grandsons Andre' Ballard (Chantell) and Cedric Ballard, two great-granddaughters Tyree Davis and Andrea Ballard, God- Daughter Netta Qualls, two sisters-in-law Dorothy Welcome and Lillian Foward, long life friend Ms. Irma McGruder and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and many many friends.

My best memories growing up as a child are the times I got to stay at Imogene's (aka Jean) house. She exemplified ALL the fruits of the Spirit- loving, patient, kind, gentle, etc. She taught me the importance of loving people unconditionally and the truth about God. I'm so blessed to have known Imogene and I know she is in a MUCH better place with the Lord in Heaven now!
All my love and prayers,
Shida
