Born in Houston, Texas, on April 29, 1950, to the late Ignacio and Ruth Treviño, Irma was known for her beautiful smile, vibrant spirit, and kindness to everyone. She was passionate about traveling, gardening, and family.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 53 years, Roberto, and their loving children: Olivia (Pedro) Diaz, Catherine (Brett) Schnur, Annette (Edward) Cantu, and Roberto (Valerie) Rocha Jr. She was also a proud grandmother to Priscilla (Fabian) Munoz, Salvador Cuellar, Katy & Alec Schnur, Marley & Layla Cantu, and Roberto & Aria Rocha. Irma was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Ella & Fabian Munoz. She is survived by her brothers Jimmy and wife Vera Reyes, Ignacio Treviño Jr., Ricardo Treviño, Robert Treviño, and Reynaldo Treviño and her two guard dogs, Buddy and Luna.
Irma's passions reflected her vibrant spirit. She was the ultimate shopper and the best gift giver - every present chosen with care, thoughtfulness, and love. Her home was a sanctuary of greenery, filled with the many plants she nurtured both indoors and outdoors. Gardening was not just a hobby for her, but a reflection of her patience and dedication to cultivating beauty in all aspects of life.
A true world traveler, Irma was a woman whose spirit knew no boundaries. Her favorite way to journey was by train - watching the landscape unfold outside her window, savoring the rhythm of the tracks, and embracing the adventure that awaited at each stop. She never let where she came from limit her possibilities. Irma believed she could do anything she set her mind to - and she did. Whether exploring the mountains of Colorado or relaxing by the beach, she embraced the wonders of the world with gratitude and awe.
Family was the heart of Irma's happiness. She treasured every gathering, finding joy in sharing stories, laughter, and creating new memories together. Her presence brought warmth and unity, reminding everyone of the importance of love and togetherness.
Irma's faith was her guiding light. Each morning, she began her day by thanking the Lord for His blessings and the gift of life. Her devotion and gratitude were evident in the way she lived - with humility, grace, and unwavering belief.
Her life was a testament to courage, curiosity, and joy. She showed us that the world is meant to be embraced fully, with open arms and an open heart. Irma's journeys were not just about places, but about people, love, and the memories she created along the way.
Though she has reached her final destination, her legacy continues to travel with us - reminding us to dream boldly, live gratefully, and never stop exploring.
