

Isabel Guardiola was born in Yoakum, Texas on July 7, 1929 to Fabian Rodriguez and Carmen Partida. She was one of six siblings: Ralph Herrera, Roger Herrera, Eva Rodriguez, Rachel Torrez and Andrea Garcia. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Ruth Guardiola. She is survived by her brother Roger Herrera who resides in Yoakum, Texas. Andrea Garcia who resides in Austin, Texas an Rachel Torres who resides in Eagle Lake, Texas. She was married to Celestino Guardiola when she was eighteen. She later moved to Austin and studied to become a hairdresser. She moved to Houston where she made her permanent home. She became a student of the Bible where she graduated from Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas and became an ordained minister. She was a missionary to many Central American Countries where she helped start several schools and trained many pastors. Her greatest passion was loading buses with supplies and traveling to Mexico to reach many remote mountain villages in El Salvador, Guatemala and Nicaragua. Her enthusiasm for Gods work made her fearless in the midst of so many dangerous situations. Isabel Guardiola is survived by her daughter Irene Guardiola DeLeon of Austin, Texas, Robert Guardiola of Houston, Texas and Diane Guardiola Miller of Sugar Land, Texas. Isabel had seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to visitation with the family on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the funeral service at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77024. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
